Full Name: Serenity Angelina Menor
Alias: Ren, Your Royal Highness, Princess
Occupation: Younger Princess
Gender: Female
Age: 16
DELVE A LITTLE DEEPER
but you still only graze the outer skin.
but you still only graze the outer skin.
Skin Tone: Fair
Eyes: Dark brown with gold and green flecks
Hair: Layered curly black hair that falls to about her mid-back
Height: 5'2''
Build: Slender, petite.
Style: Grace. Slender and willowy, yet not appearing like one of those starving models, everything about Serenity is graceful. The way she walks, the way she talks, everything. She has this air of calm assurance around her that seems to make her look taller, though she only stands at about 5’2’’. She isn’t one of those skinny-will-snap-in-half-if-you-touch-to-hard girls, either. Despite her slender form, she is obviously muscled, and a lot stronger than she looks. Serenity holds herself like a true princess, though unlike her elder sister, she doesn't have an affinity for rich silks and such. She prefers simpler clothing, still finely made but not as rich. Serenity wears simple pieces of jewelry - usually only a necklace and rings - adding to her simple, almost feline grace.

Father: King of Menor
Mother: Queen of Menor, Katheryn
Other: Older sister, older brothers
History:
Honestly, her life hasn’t been all that interesting. Princess Serenity Angelina Menor was born one warm spring morning to the King and Queen of Menor. She was both their youngest child and younger daughter, and therefore, relatively ignored. Though she was a princess, she was their fourth child, and often forgotten. When she was young, she absolutely hated it, and took to trailing her older brothers and big sister everywhere. She was pretty sure they didn’t appreciate it very much, but she honestly adored her older siblings, and still does. She was just sort of redundant – after all, her sister was the one to marry for the kingdom security, her brother was going to be the next king…. What was she to be?
Although, Serenity was originally irritated with the fact that she was ignored, as she grew up, she didn’t minded very much. Serenity liked most of her lessons – embroidery, dancing; being a good hostess, polite conversation, things like that – but her tutors often overlooked her. This gave her more freedom to learn things princesses normally didn’t learn. She seemed to have that rebellious streak her older sister Ava had. Serenity bullied the palace guards into teaching her how to ride a horse, hunt and how to use a bow. She also learned things like math, history, and science, things not normally taught to girls.
Nothing really bad has happened in her life except for one thing. When she was thirteen, she had escaped her tutors and went exploring. To this day, she doesn’t know if it was an assassination attempt or just an accident (after all, who would assassinate a useless princess), but one minute she was walking along the castle wall, the next moment she was falling. Serenity landed hard in an abandoned root cellar, breaking her ankle. The cellar was pitch black, and she couldn’t see anything. Serenity was down there for nearly a day and a half before the palace guard was raised. After that, she was rescued. But to this very day, she has a nearly paralyzing fear of the dark.
Now, she’s preparing to marry, since Serenity knows it’s going to happen sooner or later, whether she wants to or not.
STILL DO NOT JUDGE
for you will never walk their shoes.
for you will never walk their shoes.
Fears: the dark, being alone
Mental Stability: sane
Strength: Gentle in personality, knows how to use a bow
Weakness: Terrified of the dark, sharp tongued
General Persona:
Serenity is genuinely a gentle young woman. Unless you anger her – which is nearly impossible to do – you'll rarely see her dark side. Serenity is very laid-back and calm, and has this serene air about her. True to her name, she really is peaceful. She's not known to raise her voice unless in battle, and rarely ever gets excited about small stuff. Whether it's just plain laziness or just the innate calmness, no one knows. But it works. She’s the type that remains cool-headed and logical, and impulsiveness isn’t in her nature.
She's very down-to-earth and honest, almost brutally honest. But she never means to hurt anyone – actually, she hates hurting others. Unfailingly polite to everyone, even enemies, Serenity is a very respectful sort of woman. Oh, she might be tart and sarcastic (she has quite the tongue on her), but she manages to do it in a way that's almost respectful. Also, she knows when to speak up and when to hold her tongue. She is wiser than she looks, and far cleverer than she lets on. Serenity isn’t opposed to telling people when they’re wrong, though she tries not to do it in an arrogant, stuck up way.
Serenity is almost obnoxiously friendly and cheerful to just about everyone. She's the type that greets everyone with a smile, even those she really doesn't like. She has an almost annoyingly optimistic outlook on life, greeting everything head-on. That's where her stubbornness comes in. Serenity has a stubborn streak a mile wide. Even if she is proven wrong, she will not change her path. She has been known as “mule-headed”, and once she has decided to do something, the Gods help everyone, because she WILL do it. Even if it means running people over to do so. She has a sense of justice that no one but her really knows, and she will stick to that like glue. She doesn't disobey orders exactly, but if she thinks there is something wrong with the way others are going about things, you bet she’ll try and fix it.
Serenity is very much a peace-maker. She hates violence, whether it is fighting someone or arguments. Sure, she enjoys the occasional debates, but she absolutely abhors fighting. She’ll usually play negotiator, and is very good at calming people down. But don’t take that to mean she can’t - or won’t – fight. When the situation calls for it (basically, if her loved ones are in danger) there is a very small chance that you will be left alive if you oppose her. She just prefers not to shed blood, and likes to keep things peaceful amongst her friends and everyone else.
It is nearly impossible for her to hate anyone, or to get angry, really, but once you do, woe on you. Slow to anger and slow to forgive, Serenity has been known to hold grudges for years. It is nearly impossible for her to hate anyone, or to get angry, really, but once you do, woe on you. Slow to anger and slow to forgive, Serenity has been known to hold grudges. Her temper, when aroused, is fierce and can be quiet violent, a change from her normal calm and gentle personality. She has been known to lash out physically, even though she hates hurting others. She has tried to control her temper, but will be the first one to admit that she doesn't have the best control over it. It's just wise not to anger her.
There is also the little matter of her arrogance. While she really doesn't have that big of an ego, there certainly is one. She is, after all, a princess, and is used to getting her own way. What she knows, she knows. She doesn't see it really as having an ego, just knowing stuff. And Serenity assumes that everyone wants to know everything... which, believe me, can get really annoying. But she honestly doesn't understand that....

Everything hurt. Oh, Gods, did it hurt.
She staggered, fell, and for a moment, she didn't move. The ground was blissfully soft, almost welcoming... and also extremely cold. Part of her mind screamed at her to get up, that she was going to end up dying in the snow if she didn't start moving, and that this was not a good place to collapse. But the rest of her... could care less. Every fiber of her being screamed the need for rest. Even if it was on the cold snow that blanketed the ground. She was aware of a dull, throbbing pain in her head, the ever-present pain that she had woken up with.
Selene closed her eyes, trying to find the strength to stand. It seemed like she was trying all too hard these days. Ever since she woken up in the hull of a ship, frightened, not knowing where she was. A chunk of her memory was missing. The last thing she remembered before waking up in the ship was going off to the American Revolutionary War... and then nothing. Times had obviously changed, which wasn't nearly as freaky as the fact that she couldn't remember. Anything. It scared her, shaken her to the core.
From what she gathered, she had been leaving somewhere. She found with her a packed bag. But what really confused her was the fact that she was injured - a head injury that had required stitches. The stitches were gone now, but they had been what confused her the most. The obvious conclusion was that she had suffered a head wound that did some pertinent damage. That fact was unsettling, because, mostly she didn't know how she got it. This whole situation had shaken her more than anything, more than her torture, more than anything she probably would've ever experience in her life.
In her bag she had found, in the pages of a book, an address scribbled down in her handwriting. Considering that she had no where else to go - but not knowing where she was heading now - she had figured that the address was the best place to start. Everything had started out fine, but, a week later, she was exhausted, cold, and on the verge of giving up. She had money, yes, but she was so close to the school. For one person she had asked told her that the place she was looking for was some fancy school. Selene didn't understand why she had written it down, or what it's importance to her was, but she didn't care at this point.
With a groan, the dark haired woman pushed herself up, shivering slightly. She looked quiet exhausted, dark circles under her chocolate eyes, her clothes torn. She supposed she looked pathetic. Normally, that would irritate her, but she was tired and cold. Looking around her, she picked up the backpack and spotted a gate. A huge one. Tilting her head back, she saw that she was at the entrance of a huge building... A building that matched the one on the piece of paper clutched in her hand. With a sigh of relief, she stumbled to the gate.
"I found it... I'm not sure what I found, but I found it..." She said, resting slightly on the gate, before the world spun and she collapsed near it, head spinning.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
