GENERAL OUT OF CHARACTER
001. This site is rated PG-13. It has to be in order to coincide with Proboards Terms of Service. Now then, this means that minor sexual references can be made and profanity is not prohibited. However, no sex scenes are to be role-played graphically, and any cuss words directed at another member will be stopped.
002. Peers are to be respected. No one is better than anyone else. This kind of stupidity will not be tolerated. Also, if anyone is caught being hateful to a new member, he or she will probably be banned on the spot. Be nice, and there won't be a problem.
003. Do not be a sissy. I know that sounds really harsh, but it's not. Not everything is derogatory and there are many occasions where something written in the c-box is completely misunderstood. Make sure there is a good reason for pulling a staff member into a fight before doing so.
004. Do not ask to be a staff member. Asking a question like "Is there anything I can do?" is one thing. Asking "Can I be a Lieutenant?" is prohibited.
005. Do not give out personal information. All one has to do is give a hair color, a school, and an age, and that person can be found. This is no joke. There are creepers on the internet. No personal pictures are allowed on this site. Ever.
006. Do not advertise in the c-box. It looks bad for a guest to come around and see anyone talking about another site and can be detrimental to this site gaining members.
007. Stay active. There will be completely random activity checks, and each one will only last seven days. If you know you are going to be gone for longer than a week, let us know so that your characters are frozen. Absences lasting longer than two weeks may result in a loss of high rank, though rarely.
ACCOUNTS
101. Each character must have it's own account. The site looks far more organized when all the member groups look right. This also means that staff members will have a separate account dedicated for staff purposes.
102. All avatars must be no larger than 100 x 100. This rule is negated with the purchase of 'Large Avatar' in the store.
103. All signatures must be no larger than 500 px wide and 250 px tall with 1 line of size one font above or below the image(s). This is negated by the purchase of 'Large Signature' in the store.
104. Account names must match the character's name in literate English. Only staff may add symbols. This is negated by the purchase of 'Username Symbols' in the store.
CHARACTER CREATION
201. No character is perfect. Everyone must be balanced in some way.
202. Not all characters are insane or have tragic pasts. Try to be original and slightly realistic with both mental disorders and histories.
203. Too many of one class will result in a ban of that class.
204. Follow all minimum word counts in the application. They are there so that other members can get a decent feel for the character and also so that the role-player stays in character. All bios can be updated and changed at any time, provided the changes are not drastic without cause.
IN CHARACTER
301. This site is literate. Many people post above 600 words every post. However, the requirement is 250 words because there are days where one's muse decides to take a hike. Please spell check and use proper punctuation.
302. No chat-speak. This is basically a sub-rule for 301, but it's extremely important. Brb, lol, etc. are allowed in the c-box only. Even there, if u tak liek dis, a warning will be given.
303. No power-playing. You cannot control another member's character without their express permission. Even then, power-playing is only allowed in very short doses.
304. No god-modding. This is similar to having a perfect character. No character can dodge an attack every time, and no character can hit their opponent every time. This can be negated between two completely unmatched characters.
305. No bunny-ing. This is where, in a post, a member makes another character out to look stupid. Yes, your character can think another character is beneath him or her. However, the tone of a post cannot.
306. Follow a posting order. Do not skip anyone without their express permission.
307. Do not make the text color of your post difficult to read on the background that is being used. Tables and coding are allowed, as long as other members don't have to highlight the post in order to read it.
