INTRODUCTION
Since the coinage of the realm is Gold, Silver, and Copper Crowns, it makes the most sense to use the highest value for the site's point system. There are many ways to earn points and several things to spend those points on. The staff are completely open to new ideas for earning and spending. If you have any suggestions, please pm the Captain.
EARNING
Every post is worth five Gold Crowns. After that, there are still multiple ways to earn points. Contests, monthly awards, and the lottery are just a few of them. First: contests. The staff will post irregular contests, such as advertising, posting, graphics, etc. All participants will gain some sort of monetary gain and all winners will receive different prizes depending on the contest won. Second: monthly awards. Once Upon a Time has four monthly polls: member, character, thread, and couple. The winners of member and character will receive 50 Gold Crowns. The winners of thread and couple will all receive 25 Gold Crowns. The same member will not be able to win member or character of the month twice in a row. Third: the lottery. Winnings from the lottery will vary. More information is found in the Lottery thread in the Store.
SPENDING
To buy something from the store, copy and paste the code in the Catalog, create your own thread in the Store and fill out the form. Members may pool Gold Crowns for items. However, there are no 'bank loans'. Therefor, unless you can afford the item you are buying, it cannot be bought. Not everything will be in stock at all times. Also, the catalog will randomly have a sale. Sometimes these sales last for 24 hours and sometimes they will last an entire week. Check the catalog regularly, as the staff will not always notify the member base of these sales.
